Mission and Goals Lawson State Community College is a comprehensive, multi-campus, public two-year college serving the metropolitan area of Birmingham, Alabama. The College's programs and services provide accessible, affordable, high-quality postsecondary education that prepares students to enter the job market; allows them to transfer to senior colleges and universities; and assists them in achieving their professional and personal goals.
