A career in Adult and Higher Education allows you to apply your experience and training to provide high-level or adult education at colleges, universities, vocational schools, community colleges, or in the workplace, as appropriate. Find both online and campus based adult and higher education schools, courses or classes that award a variety of diplomas, degrees or certificates for successful completion.
Adult Education relates to teaching or educating adults and is sometimes accomplished in the workplace or through extension or continuing education courses. These courses can be conducted at secondary schools, community colleges, universities, or specialized learning centers. A separate, distinct category is adult vocational education which is mostly conducted in the workplace to improve workplace skills.
Higher Education is education provided by universities, vocational universities (community colleges, liberal arts colleges, and technical colleges, etc.) and other institutions that award academic degrees, such as career colleges.

Includes correspondence school instructors; industrial, commercial and government training instructors; and adult education teachers and instructors who prepare persons to operate industrial machinery and equipment and transportation and communications equipment. Teaching may take place in public or private schools whose primary business is education or in a school associated with an organization whose primary business is other than education. Adult Literacy, Remedial Education, and GED Teachers and Instructors Teach or instruct out-of-school youths and adults in remedial education classes, preparatory classes for the General Educational Development test, literacy, or English as a Second Language. Teaching may or may not take place in a traditional educational institution. Financial Service Professionals Education and training for banking, treasury and corporate financial positions. College Faculty Plan, direct, or coordinate research, instructional, student administration and services, and other educational activities at postsecondary institutions, including universities, colleges, and junior and community colleges. Agricultural Sciences Teachers, Postsecondary Teach courses in the agricultural sciences. Includes teachers of agronomy, dairy sciences, fisheries management, horticultural sciences, poultry sciences, range management, and agricultural soil conservation.
