An education in Early Childhood or K-12 Education is intended to provide you with a well-rounded background in teaching people from birth through high school. Graduation from online or traditional campus based education schools offering degrees, programs and courses in early childhood or K-12 education will qualify you for a job or career in this specialty. Early Childhood education is occurs between birth and age 8. Most learning during this period is holistic and, in the context of this education category, is provided by someone other than a parent. It is important to note that both research in the field and early childhood educators view the parents as an integral, collaborative part of the early childhood education process. K-12 Education encompasses the formal education of children and young adults from Kindergarten through High School.
